    Photographer Arlindo Camacho accompanies a group of 10 participants (14-18 years old).

    Base work: Technique, composition and references of authors from different areas of photographic intervention.

  • August 20th | 10h - 13h

    Portfolio reviews with Antonio Faccilongo and Mário Cruz.

    Interested photographers are offered up to two readings of portfolios and in each of them they can present the maximum of three projects.

    The reviews are free and are done on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Online registration is mandatory.

    Photographer Antonio Faccilongo presents his different projects and discusses his work process.

    Biography
    Antonio Faccilongo is a documentary photographer and professor of photography at the University of Fine Arts in Rome.

    After earning a degree in communication sciences and a master's degree in photojournalism, he focused his attention on Asia and the Middle East, mainly Israel and Palestine, where he documents social, political and cultural issues.

    His projects on families in Palestine have received numerous awards and grants, including the World Press Photo Story of the Year and the World Understanding Award of the Pictures of the Year International.

    His work has been published in National Geographic, Time, Stern, Der Spiegel, Le Monde, Geo, The Guardian, 6Mois, Paris Match, Focus, Sette, L'Espresso, and Internazionale.

  • Antonio Faccilongo is a documentary photographer and professor of photography at the University of Fine Arts in Rome.

  • Arlindo Camacho is a Portuguese documentary photographer and cinematographer.

    He studied photography at Ar.Co and at the Portuguese Institute of Photography.

    He is currently one of the main photographers for VISÃO and PRIMA magazines.

  • Blanca Calero is the founder of Araucária Edições.

    Araucária Edições is an independent publishing house based on the island of São Miguel, in the Azores.

    For those who arrive and for those who live here, the araucaria tree marks the landscape of the Azores, guards houses and ponds, stands out over the roofs with its unique triangular shape. Being a tree, it tends towards a certain geometry; being geometric, it breaks the lines with organic irregularity.

  • Filipa Leite Rosa fortuitously started in photography in 2005. In 2014, she left her job as a civil engineer to dedicate herself exclusively to photography. She was one of the participants in the Masterclass Narrativa 21/22 and launches her first book on Ciclo Narrativa as a result of her personal project “Póvoa e Meadas”.

  • FotoEvidence Press was founded by Svetlana Bachevanova and David Stuart to continue the tradition of using photography to draw attention to human rights violations, injustice, oppression and attacks on human dignity wherever they occur.

  • Fujifilm Portugal is a brand that supports the development of Portuguese contemporary photography. It is present in Narrativa, Novos Talentos FNAC and Estação Imagem Award, among other initiatives.

  • Kioskzine is a bimonthly publication on A5 paper, with a limited edition, created exclusively to give privileged space to photography, focused on documenting, telling and disseminating stories. The publication was founded by José Farinha, Paulo Pimenta and Daniel Rodrigues

  • Luísa started in Geography, but changed her course to photography. She began to photograph professionally in the mid-1980s. In 1989 she joined the team of photojournalists that founded the Público newspaper.

    She interrupted her daily activity as a photojournalist in 1998, after working seven years at the daily newspaper Público and two years at the US news agency Associated Press.

    Luísa exhibits individually regularly since 1989, developing personal projects and commissioned work.

  • Mário is an independent photographer dedicated to themes related to human rights and social injustice. Double World Press Photo with the projects “Talibes Modern Day Slaves” and “Living Among What’s Left Behind”.

    He is the founder of Narrativa, a meeting space in Lisbon that promotes photography as a form of expression and communication.

  • The Narrativa Masterclass is the origin of Narrativa.

    Since 2018, Mário Cruz has accompanied photographers in the development of authorial and documentary projects. In three editions it got more than 10 distinctions.

  • Patrícia de Melo Moreira is a photojournalist and graduated from the Technical School of Image and Communication in Lisbon. After collaborating with different national publications, she started working as a stringer photographer for Agence France Presse.
    In 2017, she won the Estação Imagem Award with the work Verão Negro.

  • 1975. Lisbon. As a visual artist, Pauliana has held regular exhibitions since 1999. In 2005, she participated in the photography course of the Gulbenkian Creativity and Artistic Creation Programme. She belonged to the collective [Kameraphoto] from 2006 until its extinction in 2014. Pauliana teaches authorial photography. In 2009 her first book “VOL I” (Pierre von Kleist) was published, “Caucase, Souvenirs de Voyage” (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation) in 2011, in 2018 “Quel Pedra” (Camera Infinita), and in 2019 “Narcissism of Small Differences” (Lisbon’s Municipal Archive). She also makes films. In 2015 she received the Visual Arts prize from the Portuguese Society of Authors. In 2016, she was nominated for the NOVO BANCO Photo Award. For 5 years she was represented at the 3+1 Arte Contemporânea Gallery and 7 years at the Salgadeiras Gallery, in Lisbon. It currently belongs to Galeria Cisterna in Lisbon and collaborates with several international galleries. Part of her work belongs to private and institutional collectors.

  • Photo Book Corner was born in 2012 with a careful selection of contemporary photography books and monographs and, since then, has become one of the main online bookstores in Europe.
    In 2020, it opened a physical store in the heart of Lisbon.
