50 Anos - 50 Retratos
The street as a gallery
To mark the 50 years since Almada became a city, NARRATIVA accepted the challenge launched by Almada City Council, and developed a street exhibition in various parts of the city.
To give shape to this ambitious project, NARRATIVA invited renowned authors, photographers from the city of Almada and emerging names in Portuguese photography in an exercise of creative freedom and appreciation of photography as a form of expression and communication.
In various formats, these 50 portraits will have as their galleries squares, streets, avenues and other emblematic places in Almada.
The inauguration will be attended by Inês de Medeiros, Mayor of Almada City Council and Mário Cruz, founder of Narrativa, responsible for curating the exhibition. After the inauguration, there will be a guided walking tour of a selection of 5 of the 14 places where photographs are on display.
50 Years - 50 Portraits, includes the work of 25 photographers, in what will be one of the most visible ways of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the city of Almada.
The exhibition was on display from November 25th to January 25th.
